What will I be doing at Ather?
The NPD engineering
team is responsible to ensure delivery of the new product developed at Ather
into production and into market in a timely fashion and meeting all product and
quality requirements. The NPD Assembly person is specifically responsible for
taking care of all assembly related aspects in this - from the Vehicle level
all the way down to component assemblies, jigs, fixtures, services, etc.
What kind of experience & skills do I need for this role?
Be the resident expert in
all process matters related to assembles. Create and own the optimum assembly
sequence for the Ather S340; including design of layouts, handling, storage,
jigs, fixtures, process parameters, etc. Conduct a complete stack analysis of
the product. Analyze the potential problems w.r.t product/component assembly
and drive the required modification in design. Ensure that the prescribed
assembly process is set-up at suppliers. Ensure product serviceability and
develop service modules/work instructions. Thorough understanding of stack,
tolerances and GD&T. Hands-on experience at product assembly lines;
in-depth process knowledge; ability to innovate. Understanding of product
features related to assembly; such as in fabrications, plastics, castings,
forgings, wirings, etc.
